One of the first planned communities in the US, Cape Charles served as one of the key southern nodes for the New York, Philadelphia and Norfolk Railroad. Today, the bayside community is one of Virginia’s hidden gems, boasting access to a secluded beach on the Chesapeake, golfing, and a strip of local shops and restaurants.
